Does Photo Recovery recover video and audio too?
Yes. It supports images such as BMP, JPG, PNG, TIF, TIFF and GIF, video such as AVI and MP4, and audio such as WAV and MP3. Use Data Recovery if you also need documents, archives or custom file types.
Can I continue an earlier recovery session?
Yes. Save and load a .dacscan scan session. Photo Recovery supports Windows and macOS, disk image recovery, and nine interface languages.
What should I do if photos disappear from a memory card?
Stop taking photos or recording videos on that card. Connect it with a card reader and scan it, then save recovered photos to another drive.
How can I find the photos I need in scan results?
Use the available file type filters and previews to narrow the results. Recovered files may no longer have their original names or folder structure.
Does finding a thumbnail mean the full photo is recoverable?
Not always. A thumbnail and the full image can be stored separately. Check the recovered full-size file; a visible thumbnail does not guarantee that all image data remains.
