Dacura Photo Recovery Privacy Policy
Local recovery, with clear information about online services and your choices.1. Scope and controller
This policy covers the Dacura Photo Recovery Windows client and its account, entitlement and support services. The controller is Shenzhen Itemir Technology Co., Ltd. The Itemir general privacy policy also covers the website, account portal and checkout; this notice describes the Photo Recovery client's specific behavior. This product recovers only photos, audio and video. The currently published installer is for Windows; the reserved Mac download entry does not mean that a Mac release is available.
2. Photos, audio, video and scan sources
Photos, audio and video on your selected disks, partitions and disk images, including their names, paths, metadata, previews and recovery results, are processed on your device. Sources are opened read-only and recovered files are written to your chosen destination. Signing in, checking entitlements or enabling local diagnostics does not automatically upload these data. Scanning and basic preview do not require sign-in; previews may be obscured and copying or saving restricted without verified entitlements.
Preview content and thumbnails are processed in memory and are not automatically sent as diagnostics. A .dacscan state file that you save may contain source identifiers, names, directories, locations, sizes and scan progress. It is not a complete disk image; later recovery usually still requires the original source. Protect state files and do not share them unnecessarily.
3. Accounts, devices and security
When you register, sign in, sync entitlements or delete an account, services may process your email or phone number, display name, verification results, password verification information, Google account identifier and basic profile, hashed device identifier, device name, platform, app version, session and entitlement status. Online services also process connection IP addresses and security records for authentication, device sessions, entitlement synchronization and abuse prevention.
Phone verification-code sign-in is offered only in the Simplified Chinese Windows interface. Other interface languages use email codes. Necessary recipient information is shared with the email or SMS provider for delivery. The client does not persist plaintext passwords, verification codes or OAuth authorization codes. Refresh tokens are protected by Windows DPAPI.
4. Google sign-in and purchases
Google sign-in opens the system browser and uses the openid, email and profile permissions needed for authentication. Google's privacy policy governs its processing. Revoking Google authorization does not itself delete your Itemir account.
The Windows client's purchase entry opens Itemir checkout. Payment providers depend on the channel you choose and process payment information under their own rules. Account services process information needed for orders, subscriptions and product entitlements. Downloading the client through Microsoft Store does not mean that its paid entitlements are necessarily billed by Microsoft. A purchase does not upload scanned files. Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions with a purchase channel.
5. Feedback and local records
Feedback text is sent only when you submit it. Optional technical information is limited to app and Qt versions, system type and version, processor architecture and interface language. Account details, file contents, full paths, device names and logs are not automatically attached. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in your message.
Settings are stored in the current operating-system user's local configuration; the latest 30 scan summaries are kept in that user's app-data directory. Settings let you disable future history or clear existing summaries. Local diagnostics are off by default; when enabled they record only allowed event names, times and app version, can be cleared separately and are not automatically uploaded. You manage exported scan states and recovered files yourself.
6. Purposes, sharing and international services
Information is used to provide requested features, maintain accounts and entitlements, handle support, protect services and meet applicable legal obligations. Using recovery features does not send scanned files to advertising services or for model training. Account, email, SMS, hosting and payment providers process relevant information only as needed for their services.
Using Google or another international provider may involve processing outside your region, subject to that service's disclosures and applicable requirements. Local recovery is not a cloud service requiring file uploads. Legally required disclosures and business transfers are handled with the notices and safeguards required by applicable law.
7. Retention and protection
Local retention depends on your settings, clearing actions and file management. Server-side account, session, entitlement, transaction and support records are retained as needed to provide services, audit security, resolve disputes and satisfy legal obligations. Periods differ by record type; contact support for the arrangements applicable to particular records. Online services use HTTPS. Access controls and system protections cannot guarantee absolute security; protect your device, account and exported state files.
8. Your choices and rights
You may use local scanning and basic preview without signing in, sign out, disable diagnostics, clear scan summaries and diagnostics, or request permanent deletion of the shared account through the account page. Deleting a shared account may affect other products using it. Transaction or security records subject to lawful retention may not be erased immediately.
Use the official support page below to request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent or other rights available under applicable law. Identity verification may be required. Third-party payments and subscriptions must also be managed under the purchase channel's rules.
9. Minors, changes and contact
Minors should use account and purchase services with a guardian's guidance. Contact us if you believe we hold information about a minor that should not be retained. We update the date when this policy changes and provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes where required.
